As girls, women have been thought and/or encouraged to keep their anger under control. That women that express their anger are unpleasant and unfeminine. Women's anger may be misdirected by this thought process, and may be directed in passive-aggressive thought processes, such as, sulking or destructive gossip.
Women are not usually as aggressive as men when expressing their anger. Women tend to talk more about their anger, and tend to be more proactive in discussing a problem they are having with a particular person. Women also tend to stay angry longer and are more often to be resentful, but less likely to outwardly express their anger.
Women that have anger management issues, many times are caused from their past, a bad situation they may be in now, or unresolved issues from their past, this is very different from Men's anger.
